Hello Everyone!
Since this blog thing is fairly new to me I've decided to start out with a short introduction of myself...
My name is Brittany and I am 23 years old. I have lived with Tourette Syndrome since I was 8. Tourette Syndrome is a neurological illness that causes involuntary tics such as noises or movements. My Tourette is no mild case however. I have pretty severe vocal tics which is now causing me problems in the employment area. I attended college and recently graduated Cum Laude honors. I am now starting a new chapter of my life and want to share my experiences with others. Growing up with such a rare and non talked about condition has led me to see life from a different perspective. I want this blog to be an outlet for support for Tourette sufferers but also for people with barriers in their life of all kinds. I want to reach out and share my experiences as I travel on this path called life and I hope you will as well. Please feel free to comment and ask any questions.
